1. Mature Content

Kynheim is a mature RP group with a target audience of adult players. We're not too strict about language as long as the conversation doesn't turn tasteless. Group plots may contain topics such as war, violence and kidnapping among others. The group may also produce art containing light gore. By applying to join the group, you agree to be subjected to these topics in-game. 
That being said, please remember to use filters or trigger warnings, especially for death scenes, extreme violence and erotically suggestive scenes.

2. Art Theft

Art Theft is the illegal re-use of art. We don't draw the line at traced drawings here! Photos that have not been labelled as free to use cannot be traced or heavily referenced either. There's so much great stock to reference out there, just spare yourself [and us] the trouble! Loosely referencing is a great way to improve your art, just remember to always check for permission and link back to the reference. It's no shame to use reference and no shame in admitting you use them. Just don't be a thief!

3. Activity

All you need to do to successfully remain active is to submit 2 or more canon pieces of art or literature (or a mix of both) to the deviantArt gallery per season for each of your characters. There is one exception, however: If a character participates in a group-wide plot, then they're safe immediately. 

1 group plot participation = safe

2+ pieces of art/lit per season = safe

1 piece of art/lit per season = warning

1 piece of art/lit 2 seasons in a row = retirement (especially with last-minute submissions)

0 pieces of art/lit per season = retirement

Retired characters may be brought back after one season for a fee of 10 Fangs (if your remaining characters are active).

In case your only character was marked inactive, you will be removed from the group for inactivity. You're welcome to rejoin during the next opening and may choose to rejoin with your previously inactive or a new character.

Seasons:

Mar - May = Spring 

Jun - Aug = Summer

Sep - Nov = Autumn

Dec - Feb = Winter

Please keep in mind that memes, medallions, unfinished pieces or off-topic artwork does not count towards the character activity! Only in-game pieces are eligible.

4. God-Modding

Please don't play your rp-partner's character (like having them run away, attack, (dis)agree in an argument aso.) unless you agreed on it beforehand. 

5. Power Gaming

Especially in combat, we want to remind you not to use strikes the opponent is unable to dodge or prevent. Always leave the option to have the other one dodge or fight back, unless all participants agreed on an outcome beforehand.

6. Meta-Gaming

Keep in mind your character cannot know information that was not delivered to them in-game! It's great if you've heard friends discuss a plot, but that doesn't mean your character will know anything about it.

7. OP Characters

Last but not least, please remember to keep your characters realistic in terms of their powers. There's no doubt some will be stronger than others, but nobody is invincible or perfect at everything they try.

Joining the Discord Server is mandatory!

Aside from all rules previously discussed, we want to remind you to please keep private problems in private chats with your friends. It's fine to talk about your day of course, but please refrain from bringing up topics such as you real-life mental problems, illnesses, medication, abuse, depression, etc in the group server. Topics such as politics and religion are okay as long as they are talked about in a civil and respectful manner.

Breaking group rules will result in a warning and - upon a repeated offense - suspension. There are a few major offenses that may cause suspension immediately. Those include but are not limited to: Tracing copyrighted artwork, forcing others into sexual or violent RPs without their consent, joining the group despite being under the age of 18.
