In order of oldest to newest pack!

Selcouth's rule has always been one of closeness to its members. In accordance to that, Yeegla, her brother Luca and her mate Alastair see their role as that of protectors rather than alphas. They serve the pack with utmost devotion, while taking charge when in need orf decision making. Yeegla is known to be the harshest of the three, while Luca is seen as the most sensible and empathic. Alastair sometimes appears to take his role too lightly with his sense of humor, but shows true dedication when things get rough.

Valgard: Ylva & Stark

Cause of retirement: Death by explosion [ 622 / 04 ]

Ylva was born into her role as heir and raised to become alpha. She never wavered with her fate. Her training was straight forward and when her parents grew old, they showed little hesitation to pass down their position to their well-versed daughter. Alongside her parents' guidance, Ylva earned great respect within the pack from the moment she began her reign, and it didn't stop at Valgard's borders. Within a year of her inauguration she formed new relationships with packs surrounding them. They valued her extensive herbal knowledge and the aid she could provide through that. As her reputation grew, so did the admiration from inside Valgard - most notably by a fellow healer named Stark. They grew closer and attracted by his forward personality and refined skillset, Ylva decided to get to know him more closely. Much more closely, as they would soon announce their first litter together. To consolidate their bond, Stark was appointed alpha by Ylva, and by affiliation he was warmly welcomed as Valgard's newly appointed leader.

Selcouth: Amund & Runa

Cause of retirement: Amund's Death, Runa's Mourning [ 620 / 04 }

Amund and Runa, much like their children, became leaders out of necessity. Amund's mother lead the pack all by herself at the time - very unusual by Selcouth's customs. Her sister and  her mate, whom she had shared her leadership with during their youth, had both long passed. And despite her own strength, she was one day found killed in Rogue Forest just outside their borders. For a peaceful pack like Selcouth, such a heinous act was hard to comprehend, they really did need capable leaders to collect the pieces of shattered emotions that her death had caused. Amund and Runa did just that. They helped the pack heal, just like the pack helped them heal as well. With integrity and empathy they reigned, and with the same values they eventually raised their pups as well - future leaders of their own. 

Taiga: Moia ( & Zorin )

Inauguration: 610 / 06

Age at Inauguration: 3 years 2 months
Duration of leadership: 10 years 1 month
Cause of retirement: Sickness

Moia was raised with traditional Taiga values: power and loyalty. From the day she was put into rule she conveyed these values not only to her subordinates, but also her family. Compared to her own parents she was known to rule with less lenience for those who didn't meet her standards. Her mate Zorin, whom she never referred to as a second alpha but still valued as a Taigarian, was expected to meet her in such mindset as well. All in all Moia was a very persuasive and forceful figure, remembered to have strenghtened the pack during her reign.
